Fitness Training

From triathlon training to one hour challenge classes, fitness enthusiasts will enjoy participating in our wide variety of offerings.  Classes are open to participants of all levels.  Register for classes online or in-person at The Ray.

 

Summer Quarter Registration Dates

Students/Ray Members:
Online registration begins Wednesday, May 23 at 9 pm. In-person registration begins Thursday, May 24 at 8 am
Non-members:
Online registration begins Wednesday, June 6 at 9 pm. In-person registration begins Thursday, June 7 at 8 am.

Summer '12 Adult Classes

Triathlon Training Phase III 
Designed for both the novice racer and competitive athlete. Learn form, technique and specific training schedules designed to develop the knowledge and ability to have a great racing season. Basic front crawl/freestyle swimming skills are required. Day one begins in the spin studio
June 11 - August 16 (No class July 4, July 24-26)

Cross Conditioning

Whether you are new comer trying to lose stubborn body fat, or an experienced athlete trying to reach elite levels, Cross Conditioning, taught by Level 1 CrossFit certified trainer Harrison Heller,offers a high intensity experience in a safe and friendly competitive environment. Every workout will challenge your ability to master functional everyday movements, while you shed fat and build lean muscle. By eliciting the demands of functional movements, Cross Conditioning will prepare you for anything that may confront you in your everyday life. Expect to be challenged on a variety of levels including cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, coordination, and agility.

TRX

Born in the U.S. Navy SEALs, TRX® Suspension Training® bodyweight exercise simultaneously develops strength, power, endurance, mobility, durability, balance, flexibility, and core stability.  In this 45minute session with a Certified TRX trained coach you will learn basic TRX exercises and progress to more advanced combination movements that challenge the entire body in every plane of motion for a concentrated overall fitness program using this popular patented suspension apparatus.

Monday, 5:45-6:15 pm

TRX Fusion Wednesday, 5:15-5:45 pm

The TRX Suspension Training system is a lightweight, all-in-one piece of equipment that has quickly become the ultimate way to train functionally. This high-intensity class will utilize the TRX through a circuit-style workout focusing on drills using the BOSU, jump rope, and traditional strength training equipment for total body conditioning. Expect to experience major calorie burn and muscle definition!

You: Version 2.0. Thursday, 6:30 - 8 pm
Upgrade yourself! In You: Version 2.0 you will work with a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer to achieve your 2012 wellness goals.
