CPR/AED Schedule

Campus Recreation offers CPR/AED classes at no charge for current DePaul students, faculty, and staff.

Beginning January, 2012 Campus Recreation will be offering CPR/AED classes through the American Heart Association. Due to this new certification affiliation, we will not be offering review or challenge classes until most of our participants have been through the full course.

Participants will learn how to respond to breathing emergencies, clear an obstructed airway, perform one-rescuer CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Upon successful completion, each participant will receive an American Heart Association Adult, Child and Infant CPR and AED certificate, valid for two year.

A written and physical test will be given at the end of each course, you must pass the written exam with at least an 80% in order to receive your certification.
